A small number of well-known ODMs build for multiple global brands, while dozens of smaller factories assemble from bought-in parts. Certification reality check

Different markets require different marks: CE + RED for the EU, FCC + UL for the US (UL is voluntary but expected by major retailers), KC for South Korea, and PSE for Japan. Ask to see the certificates, then verify them with the issuing body — fake and borrowed certificates are common in this category. Also confirm the exact model number on the certificate matches the model you are buying; certificates are often shown for a similar model.
